The Ninth

“Yours,” Sam breathed, eyes dark. “Always. But Lena, please—”

Lena didn’t wait. She lifted Sam, hips pressing together, and carried her to the bed. She threw her down, climbing over her like a wild thing. Her fingers worked Sam’s clothes off with frantic speed, tearing at buttons, yanking at fabric. She needed skin. Needed to mark. Needed to remind Sam, and herself, that no one else existed.

Sam lay beneath her, chest heaving, eyes hazy with arousal and something else—defiance, maybe, or trust. “Do it,” she whispered. “Show me who I belong to.”

Lena obeyed. She dragged her fingers down Sam’s stomach, parting her thighs, sinking into her slick heat without warning. Sam cried out, arching off the mattress. Lena’s cock was already hard, thick and heavy, leaking against Sam’s thigh. She grabbed Sam’s hips, fingers digging in, and lined up. No preamble. She drove in, hard and deep, burying herself to the root.

Sam’s nails raked down Lena’s back. “Fuck—Lena, you’re so—”

“Yours,” Lena snarled, but it was a lie. She was taking. Claiming. Possessing. She pulled back, then slammed forward, hitting that sweet spot with ruthless precision. Sam’s head threw back, a broken moan escaping her lips. Lena’s tail lashed, ears pinned forward, her entire body a weapon of desire.

She grabbed Sam’s wrists, pinning them above her head. “Look at me,” she ordered. Sam’s eyes fluttered open, glassy, devoted. “You don’t look at her. You don’t remember her. You only feel me. Only know me.”

“I only know you,” Sam gasped, hips bucking up to meet every thrust. “Only you, Lena. Please—harder. Mark me. Make sure I never forget.”

Lena’s teeth found Sam’s collarbone, biting down hard. She felt Sam shudder, feel the warmth of her arousal, and it pushed her over the edge. Her pace became frantic, brutal, each thrust driving Sam deeper into the mattress. She shifted her grip, one hand releasing Sam’s wrists to slide down, fingers circling her clit in relentless, punishing strokes. Sam’s cries were ragged, desperate. Her walls fluttered, clamped down, and she came with a shattered sob, body trembling around Lena’s cock.

Lena didn’t let up. She rode out Sam’s climax, pumping into her, feeling every spasm, before slamming her own release. She buried herself deep, hips locking, and poured hot seed into Sam’s womb, marking her from the inside. She stayed there, breathing hard, forehead pressed to Sam’s shoulder, purring like a wild thing.

Sam’s fingers traced her spine, shaky but sure. “You’re insane,” she whispered. “But you’re my insane.”

Lena nuzzled her neck, licking the sweat. “I’ll always be your alpha,” she murmured. “Even when I’m unbearable.”

Sam laughed, soft and breathless. “Especially then.”

Lena shifted, rolling them onto their sides, pulling Sam flush against her. One arm wrapped around her waist, her tail draping over Sam’s thigh. Her ears twitched at the distant sound of the shop bell. Work called. But not yet. Not while she still had her mate in her arms.

“I’ll open the shop,” Sam whispered, turning her face to Lena’s. “You can nap. Or claim me again. Your choice.”

Lena’s teeth caught Sam’s lower lip. “Both.”

Sam’s eyes sparkled. “Greedy.”

“Possessive,” Lena corrected, pulling her closer. “Different.”

Sam’s fingers traced her ear. “You’re both.” She kissed her, slow and sweet. “My alpha. My Lena. Mine.”

Lena’s purr rumbled, loud and content. She closed her eyes, breathing in Sam’s scent, feeling the steady beat of her heart against her chest. The shop would wait. The world could wait. Right here, right now, she was exactly where she belonged.

And so was Sam.

Dawn broke in pale gold streaks across the bedroom ceiling. Lena woke first, as she always did. Her body was a warm weight against Sam’s back, one arm draped heavily across her waist, her face buried in the curve of Sam’s neck. Her tail was curled around Sam’s ankle, her ears twitching at the distant sound of birdsong through the window. Her purr was a steady, rumbling engine against Sam’s skin.

Sam stirred before she opened her eyes. Her hand moved slowly, fingers tracing the shell of Lena’s left ear. Lena’s hips gave an involuntary twitch. Sam smiled against her shoulder, her voice thick with sleep. “Morning, my alpha.”

Lena’s tail tightened around Sam’s leg. “Don’t call me that in the day,” she murmured, voice rough but soft. “Not until we’ve claimed you again.”

Sam’s fingers drifted down, tracing the line of Lena’s spine, the dip of her waist, the curve of her hip. “You’re so warm,” she whispered. “And so heavy.”

“Good,” Lena said, rolling onto her back and pulling Sam with her. Sam collapsed on top of her, chest heaving, hair a wild dark halo around her face. Lena’s hands went to her hips, thumbs tracing circles over the skin. “Stay.”

Sam nodded, pressing her forehead to Lena’s. “Always.”

Lena’s ears perked forward. Her tail lifted, brushing against Sam’s thigh. The morning light caught the sheen of sweat on Sam’s collarbone, the faint mark on her shoulder from last night. Lena’s jaw tightened. Possessive, but tender. She kissed Sam slowly, deeply, tasting sleep and mint and the familiar, sweet scent of her mate.

Sam’s hands slid up Lena’s back, nails scraping lightly. “I missed you,” she whispered. “Even though you were here.”

“You were dreaming of her,” Lena said, not a question. Her voice was quiet, but there was an edge.

Sam’s breath hitched. “I was. But it faded. Woke up to you instead. Always you.”

Lena’s purr deepened. She shifted, rolling them so she was straddling Sam’s hips. Her cock was already hard, thick and heavy against Sam’s stomach. Sam’s eyes darkened, hips lifting instinctively. “Lena—”

“Quiet,” Lena murmured, but her fingers were already working Sam’s sleep shirt over her head. She kissed her way down Sam’s neck, her chest, her stomach, before parting her thighs. Sam’s slickness was already there, warm and inviting. Lena smiled, licking a slow stripe up her center. Sam gasped, fingers tangling in Lena’s hair.

“Morning sex,” Sam whispered. “I love it when you take your time.”

Lena looked up, eyes dark. “You’re mine. I can take as long as I want.”

She dove in, tongue wide and patient, circling Sam’s clit with deliberate, maddening slowness. Sam’s hips bucked, a soft moan escaping her lips. Lena’s fingers slid inside her, curling, stretching, hitting that spot with perfect rhythm. Sam’s breath came in shallow gasps, fingers tightening in Lena’s hair. “Lena, please—”

“Tell me,” Lena murmured, pulling back to look up. “Tell me who you belong to.”

“Yours,” Sam breathed. “Only yours. Please, Lena. I need you inside.”

Lena stood, shoving her own sleep shorts down. She turned Sam around, pressing her against the mattress. Her cock pressed against Sam’s entrance, slick with morning arousal. She didn’t rush. She pressed forward, slow and deep, feeling Sam’s heat close around her. Sam’s hands gripped the sheets, back arching. Lena’s hand moved to Sam’s front, fingers circling her clit in time with her thrusts.

“So perfect,” Lena growled, biting Sam’s shoulder. “So wet for me. So fucking perfect.”

Sam’s cries were soft, muffled against the pillow. Her walls fluttered, tightening around Lena’s cock. Lena’s pace quickened, hips moving in steady, claiming strokes. Sam’s climax built slowly, then crashed over her with a quiet shudder. Lena didn’t let up. She rode through it, pumping into Sam, feeling every spasm, before her own release hit. She buried herself deep, hips locking, and poured hot seed into Sam’s womb, marking her from the inside.

She stayed there, breathing hard, forehead resting against Sam’s back. Her purr was loud, vibrating through them both. Sam’s fingers traced her spine, shaky but sure. “You’re ridiculous,” she whispered. “And I love you.”

Lena nuzzled her neck, licking the sweat there. “Always,” she murmured. “Even when you make me lose my mind.”
