Ch 2

Not with pain. With presence. A surge of golden fire poured from Morana's skin into Elara's, bypassing flesh, bypassing bone, striking directly at the core of her soul. Elara saw visions: ancient catacombs, whispered vows, a woman with wings and horns kneeling before an altar of obsidian, offering not corruption but communion. She felt Morana's hunger, yes, but it was not for souls. It was for wholeness. For a mate. For a soul that would not flinch, would not break, would not leave.

Soul-bonding.

Elara tried to pull back. She could not. Her body was locked, not by force, but by resonance. Her soul recognized something ancient in Morana's energy. A frequency. A home.

Morana's lips brushed Elara's ear. "You will not be harmed," she murmured. "You will be remade. You will be mine. And I will be yours. The bond does not destroy. It completes."

Elara's mind fractured. Her vows screamed. Her faith warred. Her body betrayed her completely. A heat coiled low in her belly, unfamiliar and overwhelming. Her breath came in ragged gasps. Her hands, still gripping her blade, slowly uncurled. Her fingers reached up, trembling, and found purchase in Morana's hair.

Morana sighed, a sound like wind through ancient pines. "Yes," she breathed. "Give it to me. All of it."

The kiss that followed was not a conquest. It was a surrender. Elara's lips parted. Morana's tongue slid against hers, tasting of spice and smoke and something profoundly sweet. Elara moaned. It was a sound she had never made. It was a sound she would never unmake.

The soul-bond sealed.

A golden thread, visible only to the soul, wove itself from Elara's sternum to Morana's. It pulsed. It hummed. It anchored.

Elara's body went limp. Her blade clattered to the stone. Her eyes fluttered shut.

Morana caught her before she hit the ground. She cradled her against her chest, wings wrapping around them both like a canopy of velvet shadow. Her tail coiled around Elara's waist, possessive, protective. Her horns gleamed in the lantern light.

"You are mine now, little nun," she whispered, pressing a kiss to Elara's sweat-dampened temple. "And I am yours. The Church may call it corruption. I call it consecration. Welcome home, Elara."

Elara did not answer. She slept.

But her soul did not dream of God.

It dreamed of wings.

She woke to heat.

Not the sterile warmth of a convent hearth. Not the damp chill of a crypt. This was living heat. Radiating. Pulsing. It came from the body pressed against her, from the wings draped over them like a living tent, from the tail that still curled around her waist like a living chain.

Elara opened her eyes.

Morana was watching her. Her amber eyes were heavy-lidded, dark with something that made Elara's breath catch. Her horns gleamed. Her lips were parted. Her wings trembled slightly, as if holding back a sigh.

"You are awake," Morana murmured. Her voice was rougher now. Rougher with need. "Good. The bond needs feeding now. The first cycle begins."

Elara tried to sit up. Her body felt different. Heavier. Lighter. Sensitive in ways that made her skin burn. Every nerve ending felt raw, stretched, waiting. Her heart hammered against her ribs. Her hands trembled as she pushed against Morana's chest.

"Stay," Morana said softly. "Do not fight it. The heat is not punishment. It is invitation. It is the body recognizing its mate. It is the soul remembering its other half."

Elara's mouth was dry. Her thighs were damp. A low, insistent ache pulsed between her legs, unfamiliar and overwhelming. She had never felt anything like it. Her training had warned her of demonic corruption, of lustful entrapment, of souls stripped dry. But this felt nothing like theft. It felt like coming home. It felt like a key turning in a lock she did not know existed.

"Morana," Elara whispered. "What have you done to me?"

"Nothing you did not allow," Morana replied. Her hand slid up Elara's spine, slow, reverent. "The soul-bond does not force. It aligns. You resisted at first, as you must. But your body knows me. Your blood knows me. Your desire, long buried beneath vows and duty, has finally been given permission to breathe."

Elara's breath hitched. She could not deny it. The ache between her legs was undeniable. The heat radiating from Morana's skin was intoxicating. The way her wings wrapped around them, the way her tail held her, the way her horns gleamed in the low light—it all felt inevitable. Like gravity. Like faith.

Morana's fingers traced Elara's jaw. "Let me show you what it means to be claimed by a succubus," she murmured. "Not as prey. As consort."

She shifted. Elara felt the weight of her, the heat, the undeniable presence of her futa anatomy pressing against Elara's thigh. Morana's breathing grew deeper. Her pupils dilated. Her horns lowered until their tips brushed Elara's forehead.

"Look at me," Morana commanded softly.

Elara did.

Morana's hand slid down, past Elara's collar, past her habit, past the leather harness, until it found the clasp of her trousers. Elara's breath stopped. Her muscles locked. Her soul flared.

"Consent," Morana whispered. "Not to me. To yourself."

Elara's eyes closed. Her lips parted. Her fingers, trembling, reached out and found Morana's wrist. Not to push her away. To hold her there.
